A loose watercolour seahorse curls around a slender stalk of sea grass, its soft fins and single dark eye drifting in translucent washes of turquoise, seafoam and pale coral that bleed gently one into another. The pale paper stays open around the creature, letting wet colour suggest shallow sunlit water, while the curled tail, upright snout and clinging grip keep the little seahorse clearly apart from the weed it holds.
