Sacred Trumpet Wall Art

A single sacred datura in full bloom, shown with its broad grey-green leaves and spiny seed pod against a plain cream ground. Fine stipple engraving lines trace the trumpet-shaped white blossom and delicate veining, while soft hand-applied washes of pale lemon and sage warm the plate. The whole specimen sits centred with generous space around it, in the manner of an 18th-century natural history study.
